Electric Power

The time rate at which electric energy is produced is known as electric power.
$$\text{i.e., Electric power (E)} = \frac{\text{Work done (W) }}{\text{Time (T)}}$$ The SI unit of electric power is watt.

In a passive resistance,

We concluded that power is the product of current (I) and voltage (V).

Also, We know:

Electric power metrics:

1000W = 1KW

1000000W = 1MW

746W = 1H.P

1Kw hr = 1 unit of electricity

1Kw hr = 1000W hr

=1000W.1 hr

∴ 1Kw hr = 36 × 105 Joule
